When choosing the courses to take at College I took into account how exams aren't my strong suit and I would be more successful at doing a BTEC subject. This then made me look at the courses such as Travel and Tourism, which was such a big change to the courses I chose at GCSE. When looking into the courses and what sort of things I would be learning I knew that they were right for me. This is because the course is varied with learning about the world, airlines, attractions, holiday companies and tour agencies. Like anyone else I love going on holiday and I have been lucky enough to visit amazing places around the world.
From looking into what I could be doing after College from doing Travel and Tourism BTEC I knew it was something I would want to be doing. The travel and hospitality industry have so many job options which is why I wanted to carry on my learning further. After College I will be hopefully going to Bournemouth University to study Tourism and Hospitality with a placement year. My College experience has been very positive as I have a great group of friends and I have been able to take up doing my favourite sport, netball twice a week. My other course Media fits in well with the marketing aspect of my travel course as I can understand it ore from media texts I have studied.
