Support for Wellbeing

The College recognises that mental health and wellbeing are of paramount importance. We provide a supportive, inclusive environment and we are proactive in our approach. Along with Personal Tutors and Senior Tutors, a student has access to the support of the Director of Safeguarding and Intervention, Assistant Principal, Safeguarding and Support and the Health and Wellbeing Co-ordinator.

Health and Wellbeing Co-ordinator

Our Health and Wellbeing Co-ordinator is a qualified nurse and based in the First Aid room at Student Services. This means that we have a professional nurse on site every day to ensure all students’ health and mental health needs are supported throughout their time at 91精品视频. The Health and Wellbeing Co-ordinator will help you find services which are most appropriate for your needs. She also works closely with external services, such as CAMHS and other service providers, to ensure that all available College support is being utilised.

Wellbeing Support

We want you to settle into College and have a happy and rewarding time. To ensure that you feel supported throughout your College life, we offer extra wellbeing sessions that are available to all students in their break and lunchtimes. These activities include Pets as Therapy, exam stress programmes, tea and talk groups and peer mentor support. The College also runs Safety, Wellbeing, and Community and Progression weeks to ensure students are kept informed and have opportunities to talk to external agencies.

Safeguarding

91精品视频 promotes the importance of student safety through our Safeguarding Policy, which highlights that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. In Safety and Wellbeing weeks students will learn about how to keep themselves safe, both now and in the future. All staff at Godalming are totally committed to the safeguarding of our students and will liaise with external agencies when necessary. The Safeguarding Team comprises the Assistant Principal, Director of Safeguarding and Intervention, the Senior Tutors, Head of Learning Support and the Health and Wellbeing Coordinator.

College Counselling Service

We have a counselling service for students located onsite, run by BACP accredited counsellors. The service is available three days a week. You can simply call in or book an appointment by phone or email for this free, confidential and impartial service.

Financial Help

The College is able to offer financial assistance in the form of bursaries to help students with the direct costs of study, such as transport, books, equipment and exams. It is available to students who may have difficulties in completing their courses because of financial considerations or for unforeseen emergencies. You can contact our Student Support Team if you are not sure whether you may qualify. Further information is available from the College website or Student Reception.
